The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), on Thursday approved the reappointment of Mallam Shekarau Omar as Executive Director, Small and Medium Enterprises for a second tenure.
Omar, whose first tenure would be expiring on March 5,2023, would serve for another four years.
The Senior Assistant Media to the Minister of Trade and Investment, Ifedayo Sayo, disclosed this in a statement.
Omar, who is currently the ED SME, has repositioned the SME Directorate through remarkable expansion of the portfolio and marked improvement of the risk assets quality.
Similarly, the president also approved the appointment of Mabel Ndagi as an Executive Director effective from March 19, 2023.
The statement read in part, “Ndagi will be replacing a retiring Executive Director, Toyin Adeniji, who would be retiring March 18, 2023, after serving her second term in office.
“She is currently the General Manager Government and External Communications for Bank of Industry. Ms Ndagi has served diligently in the bank for over 16 years.”
